Had a great experience with Tom, Romario and the rest of the crew. We had water damage in a wall and on the ceilings from a leaky pipe and had no problem finding someone to take it apart, but kept running into road blocks finding someone to put it back together again.
The estimate was very accurate for labor and materials costs and was delivered in a timely manner. The crew arrived on time every day and completed the work in the estimated time frame. Payment was easy to complete online.
When we needed the positioning of the medicine cabinet to be changed before the project was finished that was easily arranged and fixed.
Tom helped me pick out better colors than what I had in mind for the bathroom and it looks much bigger and brighter inside now.
We will be happy to use them again in the future! Highly recommend.

Working with Tom and the crew at Middlesex Paint was a pleasure! Tom gave us a competitive quote within a few days of making the request, and worked with us to find a start date that worked for both me and the other condo owner in my building. The crew always showed up early and ready to work. Tom and his crew did their best to work with a very rainy Spring, and completed the project in a timely fashion - especially considering the very wet weather! The quality of the job was great, and Tom was willing to work with us to address any requests as the project progressed. Tom as especially communicative during final payment, as we had a bit of a technical snafu with the payment system - he was communicative and reasonable, which was very reassuring. I give Tom & his team an A - not only was the quality of the work top notch, his availability and communication during the entire project gave me a great deal of comfort. We hired Middlesex Paint to do a full interior paint in the summer of 2017. The job was estimate to take 10 days, but I believe it took 12-13. However, the crew was at our house every day at 8am and worked full workdays. This work ethic is not seen with all people and all businesses, and we were impressed. Tom was easy to communicate with and is skilled in his craft. He suggested that we painted our stair railing a rich dark brown to help cover up the fact that there were 3 different kinds of spindles (110 year old home problems). I didn't know what to expect, but it looks great. We added a couple of colors to the palette throughout the project, and it was no problem! After a year, the paint is holding up well and we get many compliments about our beautiful walls. Thank you!

My husband and I appreciate antiqued, original trim, doors and woodwork but when there are layers of poor paint and plastering workmanship,  the natural beauty and historic appreciation is masked. Tom and his team were very commited to the job and did a fabulous job making our first new home as if it was a masterpiece. We compared across others painters but the time commitment/management was always iffy. Tom and team were to begin on Friday and finish following Friday but needed to tend to an emergency job that the team couldn't begin work until Monday. They still did everything in their power to complete the job in time for a last minute house blessing by a priest at 4:30 Friday afternoon AND it included (with fee) an extremely great cleaning crew. This 1910 condo in Belmont feel like a modern home with retained character and so much more (to say the least)...we're still drooling. Very professional, honest, and committed. Reasonable prices for the final product bc you get quality with the right service who have a great attitude. They come highly recommended!

Over the years, we have renovated three of our homes and worked with many different contractors, painters, carpenters, electricians, and plumbers. Middlesex Paint was one of the best of all the professionals with whom we have worked. Tom and his crew were all professional, trustworthy and diligent. They worked long hours and always treated our home with care. Their attention to detail, both in the actual paint job as well as site preparation and clean-up was impressive. They approached every stage of the project thoughtfully and with a high level of care. Tom was also spot on his estimate for the job, both in terms of duration and cost. Perhaps most importantly, the quality of their work was beyond what we had expected. We live in a 120+ year old home, so it was a challenging job. That said, their work on the house has resulted in a home that looks almost new. Unlike many painters, they took as much time preparing the home (patching, sanding, etc.) as they did painting it. In doing so, they ensured that all surfaces were clean, smooth and ready to receive the primer and paint. The results are spectacular, and we thank them for their diligence. I've had Tom's company paint my office first, and then a job at my house. I pay attention to detail, but Tom beats me. I was present during the job at my office, and near the end I walked around with my own mental punch-list, but since they were not done I didn't say anything. When Tom came for his inspection he picked up everything I had seen and more. He really cares about the work. I highly recommend.

Tom & his crew did a great job. He was very responsive, gave a reasonable quote, was great communicating about his schedule & how they were going to get the job done. The finished product included fixing our deck, repairing woodwork around the entryway, & painting. I was home while they were painting & the paint looked darker then I think we both expected, he offered to stop the job & get a different color -- he just wanted us to be happy. We decided the darker color looked great & they proceeded. I thought it was awesome that Tom just wanted us to be happy, even if it meant halting the project to get it right.

A few weeks later I hired Middlesex for a similar project at my condo -- again, they did a great job. They repaired the front porch & painted all the back decks on our 3-family house. Everyone was very happy with the results.

Review for Middlesex Paint and Restoration Co I consulted with 4 different painting companies for the exterior work on my house. I chose Middlesex Paint for several reasons. The owner , Tom Mokoid was quick to respond to any of my requests/ questions via email. His bid was professionally presented ( via email) and addressed all of my concerns for a challenging job. His pricing was competitive and he had a crew that included an expert in stucco repair. His bid included an allowance for paint and I appreciated that the paint cost was billed separately so that I knew exactly what that cost was. Tom put a lot of thought and research into choosing the right paint products for my house. The end result is stunning and my vintage circa 1900 home looks better than it ever has ! Tom's crew was terrific, starting each day at 8AM and finishing at 5 with the site cleaned up and ready for the next day. At the end they all worked an extra long day to finish and then Ray ( stucco expert and carpenter) came back to finish a punch list of small items. Tom works with his crew as much as he can and was on site every day. He came back after all the work was complete to make sure that everything was cleaned up and all the trash removed and that everything was completed satifactorily. I appreciated the special attention he gave to make my home truly beautiful and the excellent communication throughout the project. I highly recommend Middlesex Paint.

I used Middlesex Paint and Restoration for repainting my old home and it looks amazing. They took care in replacing various areas of dilapidated wood trim and window sills, and were knowledgeable in the best methods and products for our asbestos shingles and original 100+ trim and fascia. I needed the exterior of my home sanded and painted. I called 6 contractors and 3 showed up. Two contractors ran around my house and gave me quick estimates. I asked for written estimates and one guy never responded and the guy who did freaked out my wife and said no way to him . Tom provided me a written quote a little higher than the other guy but went into detail on what he was going to provide. We have a old house with lead paint and the sanded it with sanders that collected the dust. Which made my wife very pleased. The guys made sure our windows were closed before they started every day and they cleaned up at the end of every day.They crew showed up when they said they would and the job they did was awesome. I have already recommended them to a close friend who was very happy. Honorable quality contractor!

We hired Tom and his colleagues to do exterior carpentry and painting on our weather-worn property. They did a fantastic job and went over and above our expectations, even removing an old satellite dish from our roof that had caused damage to the siding.
